The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a trace of seasoning, that contains soy protein, may have been distributed into packages that did not reveal the presence of soy protein on the labeling.

People who have allergies to soy protein run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product.

The recalled chips were distributed to retail grocery stores, club stores, and institutional/restaurant accounts.

This concern has been corrected by MFPS by removing mislabeled products from retail sales outlets. In addition, MFPS has modified the manufacturing process to eliminate the issue.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.  Consumers with questions should contact Julie Martin at Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc. at 1-800-548-1200 (M-F 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST).
